DAPHNE pen: this pen means SO much to me! I designed this in honor of my step grandma who was a big part of my life growing up, and we called her Aunt Daphne. Long story here-
When my grandma passed away when I was 4, my grandpa met my step grandma 2 years later, who we called aunt Daphne, at a mutual funeral of a friend’s. They both grew up in Jamaica and met in middle school. My grandpa went off to war in England when he was 18 and lost touch with Daphne. Years later they met in their late 70’s- in Toronto and were together after my grandma passed until they reached 90. Aunt Daphne was a big part of my life growing up because I lost both of my grandmothers. She had the thickest Jamaican accent, always made the best meals and was always there for me. This pen is dedicated to her. With a beautiful floral barrel, pink hardware and floating pearls and pink floral embellishments- this pen is elegance with a little sugar on top (because Daphne loved sweets.
- MAY THE FLOWERS (remind you why the rain was necessary) pen: I wanted to design a pen that spoke to mental health and those who have anxiety (me). I have been through a lot of challenging times in my life due to anxiety. I went through extreme post-partum anxiety after having my daughter and I never thought I would feel okay again. Almost a year and a half later, I'm 70% feeling like myself again and I have to pause my days sometimes for a gentle reminder - that flowers grow from rain, and without rain, there would be no flowers. This pen was thoughtfully designed for the quiet moments- the deep breaths, racing thoughts and the need to slow down. To calm the chaos and ground your mind through journaling your thoughts or admiring the real flowers in each pen, the delicate floral barrel and the beautiful pastel pink hardware. For the days your mind feels loud, this pen is the perfect tool to write it out or let them go.
- GRAPE JELLY pen: for all your food lovers- this pen is a little lighter in design than the others from this collection. I wanted to design something fun and playful. Sweet, glossy and just a little nostalgic, this pen has a purple gingham print with silver hardware (because butter knives for jelly are usually silver, right?), there are floating little bunches of grapes with jelly gem embellishments. This is your sign to romanticize your whimsical stationery- because it's the little things in life that make it sweet.
